measure distance dataframe requires foci coordinates along a strand
can you please have measure_distance function return the coordinates of all foci on a given synaptonemal complex, measured in absolute pixel number.
Happy to discuss in person, but I feel that it needs to return the raw data that allows a user (perhaps outside of synapsis)
- how many foci on a given individual SC. E.g. zero, one, two, eight, etc.
- what are the coordinates of each focus, measured in absolute pixel number (this would result in a "long" dataframe, as opposed to "wide")
- ideally each row of this data frame that contains the coordinates of the focus on an SC, would also contain the compute features data for each focus so that someone could analyse if bright and weak foci behave the same or not.
- it would be important to return a row in the case of an SC without a focus, that explicitly says that the number of foci was zero.
This may be a bit of work, and I know I'm pushing for the "polished" released version. So we can discuss if this can be in the polished version or if it's signficant enough modifications to go to the dev branch.
